Platinum Eagles back at the US Mint
 

The US Mint is finally listing Platinum Eagles in proof and uncirc versions again. They have been gone for quite a while. Fractionals available also.

1 oz proof $1324.95
1 oz uncirc $1214.95

I was kind of hoping that they would bring back the reverse proofs also, but I don't see them listed.

so many people have paid way over these new mint prices lol.... Ebayers are going nuts on the 2008's thinking they are going to be rare

38% premium to spot....and i havent really seen platinum much cheaper than $1200 per ounce....i think i've seen $1100 per ounce recently but nothing sub $1100

Bullion direct was sub 1100 for 1oz maples.... Mint prices are actually not too bad considering everyone is out. However, this means that dealers like Apmex will be getting their hands back on uncirculated plat too. I will wait for that...

they dont get the "w" mint versions....they get the uncirculated versions.....Just like the eagles

Good thing I didnt buy a 2008 plat like I was thinking about. (Of course I was only going to buy the 1/10, but still.

I was thinking about getting a 1/4 proof and unc.
The 1/4 unc seems to be the best deal...$20 more then a 1/4 unc gold eagle.
